APRIL PROGRAM—A TRIP ARUNACHAL PRADESH, INDIA

This month we will take a trip to Arunachal Pradesh. We will be showing a new DVD from the ARS Program Library and it is really well done. The quality of these library productions are really improving.

This program is of an October, 2005 trip to Arunachal Pradesh with Steve Hootman, Ken Cox, Ron Rabideau, Garrett Richardson and other. Ron provides the narration with both photos and video by several members of the team.

The program is a day by day adventure of poor roads, suspension bridges, small villages and colorful local people. The video of crossing a bamboo suspension bridge over a white water river gives you a much better perspective of what it’s like than a still picture!

Bring a friend.

At our regular meetings there are rhododendrons available for the door prize and for raffle. There is be coffee, juice and sweets. And hopefully the "Dollar Table" will be stocked with all kinds of treasures.

As always visitors are more than welcome - encouraged, even!

Who We Are

The aim of the Cascade Chapter, a chapter of the American Rhododendron Society, is to help the membership have a better understanding of growing rhododendrons. Members share their expertise and experiences in such areas as plant propagation, fertilization, pruning, and hybridization.

Membership not only affords a means to learn, but also a healthy and friendly environment to share, and enjoy the association of other garden lovers. Frequently, members show slides taken at various gardens, both near and far, that illustrate the beauty and diversity of the genus rhododendron. Members have opportunities to obtain plants via door prizes, raffles, and auctions.
